Edwin Arlington Robinson is known largely through the work of Simon & Garfunkel, who arranged “Richard Cory” (poem – song) for music. He was known to earlier generations, gaining the attention of Theodore Roosevelt.

“Credo” is a remarkable poem, expressing sentiments germane to modern society, namely, that the “far-sent message” still resonates, even in these unguided, unspiritual times. An essay on the poem can be found here.
