James Lick High School — March 2001

Sometime around 2001, I got it into my head to sing. I started, learning the songs of Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan, and performing at various functions. Here, I am joined by Seth Haak for two Cash covers at International Night at James Lick High School, where I teach. Later in the evening, Mike Herring, another teacher, and I sang a few Dylan covers.

Set 1 (w/ Seth Haak):
1. Belshazzar (Cash)
2. Folsom Prison Blues (Cash)

Set 2 (w/ Mr. Herring):
1. Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door
2. Blowin’ in the Wind

Not exactly sure about the second set. I know Mr. Herring and I sang “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” at nearly every International Night. I’m guessing we played “Blowin’ in the Wind” too.

Note: Date is uncertain. Usually, International Night was held in the spring.
