Open mic — Cupertino Britannia Arms (1)

Met some friendly faces tonight. Sweet Lou, who runs the open mic at Ye Olde Royal Oak, was was there with friends. He warned me that the comedy can get a little raunchy, but I didn’t realize quite how raunchy until the first comedian opened his mouth. Also met Peter Chung and his friend Craig (don’t know his last name), whom I first met at the Royal Oak. Peter is quite talented and sang two songs, one cover (a Tracy Chapman song) and one original (“Happy Faces”?). A brother and sister act from Canada played too. Christopher and Natasha Barran sang original material, including Angels Prelude, which is off their CD (visit christopherbarran.com).

I sang —

1. I Need You (original)
2. I’ll Press On (original)
